Then there are the mods that are more specific to your personal taste, needs, and gear. Examples are SF to BF amp mods, true bypass switching, or the standard TS-9 to 808 mods. That might sound funny, but whether its amps or pedals, there are certain mods that are tried and true, standard mods, that you do 1st before moving on. I'm looking for some tried and true standard type mods, not the "my personal taste mods". Other than the obvious speaker upgrade, does anyone know of sites that have mods for these amps? They mention some on Harmony Central, but. 1967 Fender Stratocaster Wiring Harnes - Wiring Diagram Schemas. With only one preamp tube, no phase inverter, then the output tubes, it might really take well to a decent clean FET boost pedal for guitar. Would love one! They are not the greatest bass amps, but plug a six-string in.they got tone! Yes, in those tube days a small 'student' bass amp did not actually reproduce any bass, it was just 'bass tolerant' in that it didnt blat, fart, etc. I've never even seen a chasis layout for either version.

I have two 6v6 schematics: one from the Fender Field Guide, and one from my original owner's manual if anyone needs them.

But right before that I had bought a Behringer V-ampire 1X12 and it was great for getting different amp sounds, and the onboard FX were pretty damned good, too.Does anyone have a schematic for the 6AQ5 version of the Musicmaster Bass? I know the 6AQ5 is similar in performance to the 6V6GT, but I think there are some slight voltage differences. Especially if you use 'em how Boss suggests and run the volume wide-open and control it with the master to get the "power sag" goin on. IMHO, it's hard to get a "bad" sound out of those. I just got one of those Boss Katana 100's, and I STILL can't believe how good it sounds. They're usually super cheap, pretty good copies of higher end stuff and definitely have their place. It's just my guess, but there's a reason some of the best bass amps (IMO) are 4X10.Īnd I think most of us own at least one piece of Behringer equipment, even if we aren't proud of it, lol. I've always wanted to try a 4X10 cab, and hopefully I'll get around to it one of these days.

Great for guitarist Great for guitarist Bought this CME exclusive color way back from them when this series came out. They seem "tighter" with better bass response to me. Short scale bass built for easy playing. For whatever reason, especially with dirty tones, I REALLY like the way 10" speakers respond. It can sound pretty close to a lot of different amps, of course, some better than others, but I LOVE the "twin" for clean tones and the "XXX" and the "Soldano" for distortion. Hellacious bottom end rumble! I still have a little 10" Peavey Vypyr combo, and it's GREAT for recording. I use to run my '83 Bandit 65 into a Basic 40 bass amp and "stack" 'em, lol. Absolute tanks, they usually sounded great, and living in Nashville, it's been my experience that you'd be hard pressed to find any venue (major or not) without some kind if Peavey on the back line. Some of the best amps ever made in my opinion. I KNEW Peavey would come up, as they should. You can watch reviews on YouTube, and find out what your guitar heros use all day, but THESE are the amps that everyday average people use. I knew I could count on my Squier "brothers".
